there were so many Spin-off games. Did it perform that badly? I assume so, since MAXIS as a whole was just dissolved and subsumed by EA

Someone needs to make a true predacessor to Spore. Just remake spore, change some stuff up, maybe even rework some of the stages, and add in some of the abandoned ones like that one in between tribal and city stage

To be fair it's probably a good thing EA didn't make Spore 2, they'd be very likely to lock creature parts behind microtransactions & lootboxes. Then again EA probably won't make Spore-2 anyway due to their stupid notion that "singleplayer is dead, embrace live service" which is no doubt born out of the fact that they want people to believe that because the game needs to have an online element for EA to plug in microtransaction & lootboxes

Tying the creature part abilities to a Metroidvania-style lock-and-key system is genius! That one feature pushed me over the line, I totally want to play this now! Edit: Okay I might have jumped to conclusions, this isn't a metroidvania just because one cave benefits from nightvision/bioluminescent parts, but the puzzle aspect is a really fun twist on a creature building game that seems so obvious in hindsight. Edit2: WAIT this is just StarWars Droidworks! One of my favourite games as a kid! How did i not realize this sooner?

Honestly, I liked Darkspore. It wasn't the same game as Spore, of course, but it was a fun game if you thought of it as something separate from Spore.

I hate how on google play store russian kids are just giving low ratings because their phones are trash and their tiny fingers struggle to play. And they are also saying that "Devs put 0 effort into making this" while they can't event write a single line of code themselves, not even knowing that you are working on this project alone.
